The US Virgin Islands Department of Health – Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program continues its mission of assuring and facilitating preparedness for pediatric emergencies and care with its latest donation to the Juan F. Luis Hospital Emergency Department. The program had donated, in previous years, a broselow cart to the ED. The cart is a tool used in the emergent care of pediatric patients.
A full compliment of replacement consumables for the cart were donated on August 21, 2020. They include a great deal of size-based resuscitation equipment from the Broselow system.
The EMSC Program will continue to find ways to improve the quality of care for children in the US Virgin Islands.
