VI Department of Health Reminds Public of New Schedule for Vital Records and Statistics Offices

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Virgin Islands Department of Health’s Vital Records and Statistics (VRS) Office is reminding the public of its designated days and hours for in-person visits for services.

Vital Records and Statistics offices territorywide are open for in-person visits on the following days and times:

  • Mondays: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

“To better serve residents, VRS has adjusted its operation to allow for dedicated hours for processing requests for birth and death certificates, ensuring faster and more efficient service,” said Lorraine Benjamin-Matthew, VRS Director. “During non-public hours, staff will focus on processing certificate requests and administrative functions to help reduce wait times and improve overall service delivery.”

The public is reminded to plan their visits accordingly and to have all required documentation ready when applying for birth or death certificates.
