U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – In celebration of National Public Health Week (April 7–13, 2025), the VI Department of Health will close its offices and clinics on designated days to host Employee Appreciation Day activities for its dedicated staff.
In the St. Thomas-St. John District, VI Department of Health offices and clinics will be closed on Monday, April 7. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, April 8.
In the St. Croix District, offices and clinics will be closed on Friday, April 11, and return to normal operations on Monday, April 14.
These closures allow the Department to recognize and celebrate the commitment and contributions of public health employees across the territory.
“National Public Health Week is not only a time to engage our community, but also an opportunity to recognize the individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to protect and promote health in the Virgin Islands,” said Commissioner Justa Encarnacion.
The Department encourages the public to plan accordingly and appreciates the community’s understanding as it takes this time to celebrate and invest in its workforce.
