The Department of Health’s (DOH) air conditioning (AC) system, located at the Charles Harwood Complex on St. Croix, is operational.  Therefore, the DOH has resumed regular hours of operation at the facility on St. Croix.

DOH Resume Normal Hours of Operation

The Department of Health’s (DOH) air conditioning (AC) system, located at the Charles Harwood Complex on St. Croix, is operational.  Therefore, the DOH has resumed regular hours of operation at the facility on St. Croix. 

The two malfunctioning compressors in the chiller have been repaired. Although the DOH is optimistic that the unit will remain in operation, please be reminded that the chiller is an aging system that needs to be replaced and could fail completely at any time.   The DOH has contingency strategies in case the AC unit breaks down in the future. The long-term solution is to replace the two chillers, in which the DOH is working diligently to secure.
