It will consist of food demonstrations – in which those in attendance will get a chance to taste various dishes made from vegetables such as Zucchini Fritters, Carrot Pie, Spinach Casserole-and a game where participants will guess the sugar content in specified foods. Winners will receive prizes.
2. On Thursday, March 16th and Monday, March 27th (1:00pm-3:00pm), the St. Thomas WIC program will be hosting Personal Shopper Activities at Plaza Extra (Tutu Park Mall) and Pueblo (Long Bay) grocery stores- respectively. Participants will learn how to choose/shop for the healthiest foods, to include reading food labels, and brief in store food demonstrations using vegetables.
