As a result of continuing issues with the air conditioning unit, located at the Charles Harwood Complex on St. Croix, staff were dismissed at 9:00am this morning, except for those who provide direct clinical care. The Community Health, Family Planning, Immunization, Communicable Disease, Maternal & Child Health (MCH), and Environmental Health programs remained to provide care to approximately 80 clients. All scheduled appointments were seen today. Ancillary support, including Revenue, also remained to assist the programs with carrying out their services.

DOH Interim Hours of Operations on St. Croix Tuesday, January 24th, thru Friday, January 27th
As a result of continuing issues with the air conditioning unit, located at the Charles Harwood Complex on St. Croix, staff were dismissed at 9:00am this morning, except for those who provide direct clinical care. The Community Health, Family Planning, Immunization, Communicable Disease, Maternal & Child Health (MCH), and Environmental Health programs remained to provide care to approximately 80 clients. All scheduled appointments were seen today. Ancillary support, including Revenue, also remained to assist the programs with carrying out their services.
In order to accommodate our clients, the Department of Health (DOH) plans to provide ALL services between 8:00am-2:00pm from Tuesday, January 24th to Friday January 27th. We will continue to assess the situation and make adjustments to the DOH hours of operation as needed.
DOH will update the staff, media and public as updates become available.
