U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The VI Department of Health advises the public that the Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Clinics, on St. Thomas and St. Croix, will close on Thursday and Friday, respectively, to allow for staff participation in a children’s disaster preparedness tabletop exercise.
The MCH clinic will be closed:
- on St. Thomas: Thursday, March 5, 2026
- on St. Croix: Friday, March 6, 2026
On St. Thomas, normal operations will resume on Friday, March 6, 2024, and on St. Croix, the MCH clinic will reopen on Monday, March 8, on St. Croix.
The federally mandated Emergency Preparedness Pediatric Mass Casualty Tabletop Exercise is designed to strengthen the territory’s preparedness and coordinated response to pediatric emergencies and disasters. The exercise is being led by the VI Department of Health’s Emergency Medical Services for Children program.
