VI Department of Health’s Community Health Program to Hold Adult Immunization Clinic on St. John

ST. JOHN, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — On Friday, February 13, 2026, the VI Department of Health’s Community Health Program will hold an Adult Immunization Clinic at the Morris F. De Castro Clinic at Cruz Bay.

“Adult immunizations are an important part of staying healthy at every stage of life,” said Justa Encarnacion, VI Health Commissioner. “By offering this clinic, we are making it easier for residents on St. John to stay up to date on their vaccines and to protect themselves, their families, and the community against preventable diseases.”

The Adult Immunization Clinic will offer the following:

  • Flu vaccine
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, which prevents cervical cancer, for adults up to age 26 and for some adults ages 27–45 after consultation with a healthcare provider
  • Pneumococcal vaccine for adults 65 and older and for younger adults with certain medical conditions
  • Shingles vaccine for adults 50 years and older
  • Tetanus (TD) protects adults from a serious infection caused by bacteria entering through cuts or wounds
  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine

The Virgin Islands Department of Health remains committed to increasing access to preventive healthcare services. Additionally, the Flu, HPV, Pneumococcal and Shingles vaccines are being offered at no cost to individuals who are uninsured and the underinsured.

Vaccine recommendations may vary based on age, medical conditions, occupation, travel, and vaccination history.
