Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide out of control and invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. Cancer is not just one disease, but many diseases. There are more than 100 kinds of cancer.
Reproductive cancers are cancers that occur in the reproductive organs. They can affect both men and women.
In women, these are cancers in the breast, cervix, uterus, vulva, endometrium or ovaries.
In men, reproductive cancers can occur in the prostate, testicles and penis.
There is a link between human papilloma virus (HPV) and certain cancers. The HPV vaccine can prevent these cancers.
