Department of Health Hosts Health Fair in Celebration of Women’s History Month

US Virgin Islands — The Department of Health (VIDOH) invites the public to participate in a special Health Fair in celebration of Women’s Health Month on Friday, March 18th. The Fair will be held in the Frank Powell Park in Cruz Bay, St. John from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Women’s Health Services offered will include conversations, and handouts on Nutrition, Breast Feeding, Mental Wellness, Family Planning, HIV/STD testing, and Biometric Screening to help identify your risk factors that signal existing disease or risk for diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes. There will also be a special Yoga Demonstration.

Participants will be treated to lots of giveaways, games, music, prizes and much more.

The Department of Health would like to thank the following participating groups: The Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Behavioral Health and Alcohol and Drug Dependency, Family Planning, Communicable Diseases, Women Infants and Children (WIC) Divisions of VIDOH, Virgin Islands Territorial Management Agency (VITEMA), Love City Strong, Island Health and Wellness, Family Resource Center, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Council (DVSAC) and Tropical Jewels of Perfection Chapter #100 – An Entity of The Jerusalem Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star PHA Jurisdiction of Florida.
